Because at the end of the day, your business is only one piece of the puzzle - but it’s THE piece that needs to be in place so you can actually enjoy time off with your kids, take that trip you’re planning for “someday,” or just sip a glass of red while you pretend to skim a book and actually scroll your phone (same).
Hi! I’m Casey -
And since you already know I’m a brand & Showit web designer, let’s start with the stuff outside my laptop.
I’m a toddler mom x 2, a Crossfit girlie (when I can find time to sneak away between work & playdates), and - at this point - basically a professional cast member of Moana, given that my girls insist on a daily viewing.
I was a designer long before I opened my own studio, with a lifelong reputation for always being the “creative one” in my friend group – it wasn’t until I was pregnant with my second daughter and desperately looking for a way to reconnect with myself in the craziness of motherhood that I realized:
What I love most about brand design (beyond the satisfaction of putting together the perfect mood board, of course) is using design to help business owners stay connected to the reason they got started in the first place.
When it comes to growing your business, your brand and website should do the heavy lifting for you.
Because yes, your business is a huge part of your life - but it’s not your whole life.
That’s exactly why I create brands that not only reflect your vision for your business, but also honor the bigger picture: the life you’re building, the goals you’re chasing, and the roles that matter most to you.
Graduated from school with a degree in digital media design
And began work as an in-house graphic designer for the County- but couldn’t shake the idea that I was made for deeper, more meaningful work.
Began my first business, Casey Creates
Where I did custom hand lettering, calligraphy, and eventually - brand and logo design.
Welcomed my first daughter
And learned how to design with one hand while rocking, swaying, and shushing.
Founded Casey Kuhr Design Co.
And gave birth to my second daughter three months later (what can I say? I prefer my hands full).
Kept growing my business while surviving - and enjoying! - the toddler stages
And stayed grounded through my work, allowing it to keep me from losing myself in the constant activity of motherhood.
Officially rebranded my business as Lulo Creative Studio
“Lulo” is a blend of my daughters’ names and serves as a constant reminder that my work is much, much bigger than me - it’s about the family I’m building, the life I envision, and the clients I serve.
